What made you want to get into wedding planning? Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve had a love for planning. So much so that I had a spreadsheet for every family vacation and celebration. Flash forward a few years, and here I am. I got married in Telluride in 2020 and fell in love with the planning, checklists, details and really everything. I had a really hard time finding just a day-of planner, so I decided to create this business and provide an amazing day-of service for all couples that are needing help on their day.

What experience do you have as a planner? I’ve been doing this for over five years now professionally and primarily focus on full service planning and design and decor packages.

What is your style when it comes to weddings? My style is timeless and classic. However, I do love a good pop of color. Film photography is my favorite and I think it’s truly something that will last a lifetime. My favorite part about my job is finding the style of my couples – many come to me with a Pinterest board all over the place and my job is to hone in on what they love and bring it to life!

What is your favorite part of a wedding? Room reveals – with me it’s all about the design and decor and seeing the couple’s vision come to life on the day. I love seeing their faces light up when everything we’ve discussed is in real life. Second favorite? Definitely vows and speeches (I usually am crying in the corner).

What do you enjoy in your down time? Having 3 littles under 4 doesn’t give me much down time, but it’s always spent chasing them! We also love to travel whenever we can. My goal is to start a travel blog about how to travel with kids!

Fun facts about you!

  1. I’m a huge Washington Capitals fan and have met Alex Ovechkin
  2. I love love love to travel. My favorite trip was our family’s month long road trip through Italy
  3. My career started in marketing fifteen years ago. I taught myself how to build websites (and built ours) and market a brand effectively
  4. I’m the oldest of four girls
  5. My wedding dress designer (Romona Keveza) follows me on Instagram

What made you want to get into wedding planning? I started my career in event planning at working The Maryland Zoo when I was in college and I fell in love. After working weddings there and planning my own wedding in 2022, I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I started working for Leigh and Co. just one month after my own wedding and haven’t looked back!

What experience do you have as a planner? I’ve been in the event industry since 2017, working a variety of events including weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, and more! In 2022 I decided to put all my focus into mastering the art of weddings and have loved every minute of it. With over 50 weddings worked in the last 3 years at over 30 different venues, I have a diverse portfolio of wedding planning and design.

What is your style when it comes to weddings? I’m very type A when it comes to planning and execution. I’m big into logistics and making sure everything we planned happens in the timeframe we budgeted for. My weddings always start on time, unless a special request is made from the couple, and my timelines are rarely off by more than a few minutes. My overall goal for you is to be able to enjoy your day and be a guest at your own wedding, without having to stress that we will get everything done we discussed in the planning process.

What is your favorite part of a wedding? Seeing the anxiety melt away when the ceremony begins and the couple sees each other and all their loved ones for the first time in one room is my biggest joy. Knowing they can relax and enjoy every minute, have fun and be stress free.

What do you enjoy in your down time? I’m big into fitness and nutrition. If I’m not home scrolling Instagram for new wedding trends, you can find me at the gym either taking a group fitness class or teaching one! I also love to be outside in the warmth. I’ll take an outdoor July wedding any day!

Fun facts about you!

  1. I was born and raised in Baltimore – I didn’t get very far
  2. I played field hockey in college
  3. I have two cats, and yes, I do have a favorite
  4. My husband was a child actor – you can see him on The Wire

What made you want to get into wedding planning? I have always been the go-to party planner in my family, the one everyone trusts to host for the holidays, or have an excuse to get everyone together. When I planned my own wedding, I couldn’t wait to get started on all the ideas I had in mind. I discovered just how much I loved the process of all the details coming together. That experience made me realize I wanted to help other couples enjoy their special day, like I enjoyed mine.

What experience do you have as a planner? I have been in the wedding industry since 2019, having worked as a venue coordinator, then banquet captain, and even as an events director for a community. Through these roles, I have gained a well-rounded understanding of the many aspects of a wedding and have continuously learned from seasoned professionals in each field. My experience has allowed me to guide couples with confidence, offering trusted advice and ensuring a smooth planning process.

What is your style when it comes to weddings? My style is all about timeless elegance with a personal touch. And flowers… lots of flowers!

What is your favorite part of a wedding? If I had to pick a favorite part of weddings, it would definitely be the first dance. There is something so amazing about that moment. When the couple is fully present, surrounded by friends and family, but completely in their own world. I specially love seeing the photography from the first dance, because the emotions captured are genuine and unposed.

What do you enjoy in your down time? When I am not at a wedding, I like to be home with my husband and my dogs, Cali and Oliver, watching movies or going on walks. I also like to go to football and baseball games, try out new restaurants with friends in different areas, I love to sew and do embroidery, and going on walks to do photography.

Fun facts about you!

  1. I speak English, Spanish and am learning French
  2. I love making diaper cakes for my friends baby showers

  4. I like to collect unique salt and pepper shakers (don’t ask me how I started because I don’t even remember.. LOL)

What made you want to get into wedding planning? I have loved the idea of planning parties and events since middle school. It started with family parties at my house and slowly blossomed. When I was looking at colleges and universities I wasn’t sure what I wanted to pursue, and my parents introduced me to the path of hospitality. When I decided hospitality as my major that sealed it! I fell in love with the curriculum, from culinary to hospitality law! When I was able to pick up my minor of event planning and learn the aspects of weddings, I knew my path for the future was revealing itself to me!

What experience do you have as a planner? I began in the field gaining my undergrad in tourism and hospitality management with a minor in event planning. I continued on to earn my master’s in business with a focus in leadership! During my time in college, I started as an intern and worked my way up to a supervisor at the Annapolis Yacht Club. While pursuing, and after completion of, my master’s degree, I worked as a wedding and event manager at Kent Island Resort and would oversee and execute nearly 60 weddings and events a year at the resort!

What is your style when it comes to weddings? I love a timeless classic wedding affair. However, I am also in love with whimsical and bright colors. A spring wedding with vibrant florals and warm but breezy weather is a dream!

What is your favorite part of a wedding? Either sending everyone down the aisle for ceremony or sending them into the room for reception! You can feel the anticipation from the entire wedding party and the guests, it’s such great energy.

What do you enjoy in your down time? Spending time with my family and puppy dog, Koda, or planning my next trip to Disney!
